The Scandinavian Tiny House

Scandinavian tiny houses have become an increasingly popular alternative to standard housing around the world. Not only do they provide cost savings and mobility, but their small dimensions also allow for freedom from daily stressors. Many people even use them as a way of getting away from it all altogether!

Scandinavian tiny houses are stunning, compact and incredibly practical for their owners. Many are mobile on wheels, making them the ideal solution for anyone wanting to live more simply or even relocate permanently.

This stunning modern tiny house is the result of a collaboration between Swedish-born Ida Johansson and Norway-based Norske Mikrohus. When Johansson wanted to move out of her cramped city apartment, she reached out to the company - and within four months they had constructed her dream home!

The house was inspired by the Nordic longhouse, a traditional dwelling from the Vikings that could accommodate many people in an inviting and comfortable setting. With plenty of windows and soft hues throughout, this home brings light and serenity into its space.

This house exudes modernity and style from every angle. For instance, the bare plywood walls and minimalistic furnishings give off a feeling of spaciousness that you won't find elsewhere.

You'll also appreciate the use of natural materials in this home, like cork floors and concrete countertops. Not only does this add character and texture to the space, but it is also eco-friendly.

This living room's furniture showcases classic Scandinavian and bohemian influences in an effortlessly elegant combination. You'll want to curl up on the sofa for some quiet relaxation time!

This living room exudes warmth from a propane fireplace insert. A leather couch and warm colors further make the space cozy and welcoming, especially at night.

This living room also features a wooden table that can be rearranged, making it the ideal spot for David's turntable and speakers.

You'll notice the majority of furniture in this home is constructed from three-ply ash panels, a hard yet lightweight wood. This sturdy and long lasting material makes it an ideal choice for your compact residence.

This modern Scandinavian tiny house is one of the most exquisitely constructed homes we've ever encountered! Crafted by Fritz Tiny Homes, this 24' x 8.5' house is ideal for minimalists, young couples or anyone seeking a simpler and more peaceful life in the country!

This lakeside hideaway would make an idyllic getaway, an exclusive Air-BnB or simply a stunning home for the minimalist in your life.

For centuries, the tiny house movement has been an integral part of society. Nowadays, its appeal extends beyond aesthetics; many believe small homes can be highly eco-friendly.
