Small Cigar Room Ideas

January 4, 2023

A cigar room can be a great place to relax and enjoy a cigar. It can also double as a bar area, and is a good place to entertain guests. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned smoker, there are a few tips you should keep in mind to get the most out of your cigar lounge.

The best way to get the most out of your room is to make sure you have a good ventilation system. Whether you opt for an exhaust fan or a separate unit, you need to ensure that you are not allowing too much smoke into your home.

Another good idea is to use an air purifier. This can be a cheap option, and is more effective than using an exhaust fan. While they are not perfect for every situation, they can remove most of the odor and smoke.

Using the right type of floor can go a long way. Depending on your climate and style, you may want to choose stone or tile flooring. For a more elegant look, consider a wide plank wood floor. Regardless of the flooring material you choose, a nice area rug is a must. You don't want to have a dirty floor ruining the ambiance of your cigar lounge.

Having a proper lighting scheme is another important aspect of the right design. Choosing a color that matches your furniture is a good start. If you have a larger room, you might want to think about getting matching table lamps.

In the same vein as having a ventilation system, having the right type of flooring is key. Wood flooring is a popular choice for smoking rooms. But if you live in a warm climate, you might prefer stone or tile. However, you won't have to worry about the stench of smoke if your flooring is made of aloe vera.

There are a few other tricks to designing a cigar lounge that are not necessarily mentioned. One is to have a small humidor. These are ideal for storing a dozen or so cigars. Also, having a humidor in the right place can help regulate the humidity level of the interior. Adding a few shelves to your bar cabinet or a small bookcase is an easy way to add some storage without taking up too much space.

Adding the right furniture can also make or break the cigar room. Fortunately, there are a few different styles of furniture to choose from. If you are limited on space, you can create a four-chair seating area by adding a sofa and two matching chairs. You can also use fabric cigar chairs to add a more casual touch to your lounge.

Other small cigar room ideas include using faux ceiling beams or a large decorative crown molding. Faux or real, these are excellent accents and are a good starting point. Similarly, you might consider a coffee table humidor or a desktop humidor. Keeping these items at the correct humidity level is vital to keeping your cigars fresh.
