Skylight Luxury Lounge

Skylar Willingham of East Moline is the owner of skylight luxury lounge, which opened over New Years weekend at 1325 30th Street in Rock Island. Her passion lies with wines, which she wishes to provide customers in an atmosphere which is relaxing, cozy and welcoming.

As Cool Beanz Coffeehouse closed down, she transformed its interior by installing handcrafted wood additions to tables and bars; adding new chairs and couches; repainting; offering basic coffee, smoothies and beverages such as deli sandwiches with cheese platters or charcuterie boards; as well as offering basic services.

Skylight Wine Bar sells wines by the glass or bottle at prices ranging from $9 to $15, and Willingham plans on hosting poetry readings, karaoke nights and eventually artwork from local artists at her venue, set to open its doors in February. She hopes to coordinate events with other Hilltop area businesses and display artwork by local artists when she opens on Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 11 pm; Friday and Saturday 11 am until 2 am (two additional hours can be reserved for birthday or bridal shower events, as well as offering catering services).
