Carbone, Los Angeles' Red-Sauce Italian-American Icon

carbone los angeles

Carbone recalls an earlier era of glamour and showmanship. Owned by Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi, their restaurant takes its inspiration from midcentury New York City eateries.

At this lavish eatery, the food is outstanding but what really steals the show is its opulent ambiance - you may catch sight of Rihanna, Kim Kardashian-Jenner clan members and Justin and Hailey Bieber among many other notable figures in its dark paneled dining room.

Menu

Carbone's menus do an outstanding job of visually conveying their restaurant's contemporary homage to classic Italian eateries from midcentury New York. Owned by Major Food Group, Carbone restaurants have expanded from their Greenwich Village roots into New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Hong Kong locations - so much so that insta-celebrities like Katy Perry have visited them multiple times!

Some diners enjoy the theatrical aspect of dining at this restaurant. It's like eating on a movie set - perfect tables are laid out for each guest while an elegant captain in red tuxedo delivers their food to them.

Carbone Restaurant serves delicious fare at Aria Resort & Casino; from classic Caesar salad prepared table-side, to spicy rigatoni vodka, and lobster fra diavolo. Although worth visiting, whether its higher price tag makes sense depends on individual priorities.

Drinks

Carbone, a modern American icon, pays homage to the famed Italian eateries of midcentury New York City. Created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick as a tribute to that era's glamour, showmanship and tableside service while serving classic dishes like Lobster Fra Diavolo, Spicy Rigatoni and Veal Parmesan.

This space is both dark, intimate, and moody; its atmosphere a blend of retro and futuristic styles with an air of science fiction. Additionally, its cocktail menu brings nostalgia back together with contemporary flavors for an unforgettable experience.

Start your evening right by sipping drinks at Vino, or the three-sided outdoor patio that overlooks the main room. Both venues seem designed to host celebrities and socialites who come here for couriered dinners that can be eaten quickly; prices can be costly; making for quite the spectacle!

Desserts

Carbone offers an unforgettable dining experience, from its impressive atmosphere, service and delicious cuisine. A meal here may be over the top and expensive but its food and ambiance make up for this.

Restaurant ZZ is an atmospheric tribute to Italian-American restaurants of midcentury New York, an era known for their glamour and showmanship. Their menu offers elevated classics such as Caesar Salad Alla ZZ, Spicy Rigatoni and Lobster Fra Diavolo for you to experience this elegant dining experience.

Carbone opened to much criticism when it first launched, but its stunning space, stunning ambience, and impressive culinary credentials quickly won over naysayers. Since then, Carbone has become beloved by both celebrities (Rihanna), regulars (Kardashian-Jenner clan members Justin & Hailey Bieber), as well as industry insiders alike - perfect for dates or schmoozing with fellow industry insiders alike!

Reservations

Carbone opened last summer to an enthusiastic reception from celebrities and socialites, drawing in crowds that would make Mad Men blush with envy. Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi may have captured that momentous occasion as socialites flocked back like swallows to San Juan Capistrano. This moment proved that Carbone still draws an impressive crowd that could rival that seen during its prime in San Juan Capistrano.

Carbone stands as the crown jewel of Major Food Group empire established by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick over time (Sadelle's, Santina and Parm), yet stands apart. A theater experience as much as it is a restaurant. Each plot twist and costume change makes Carbone truly one-of-a-kind!

The dining room's design recalls Italian-American restaurants of the mid-20th century, when showmanship and tableside service were standard practice. Food reflects this history while drawing upon today's best talents and techniques - classic dishes like lobster fra diavolo, chicken scarpariello and veal parmesan are elevated to new levels of excellence.
