Brooke Williamson is an award-winning chef and television personality who gained notoriety through participating in food-related reality cooking shows. A veteran of Bravo's Top Chef series, she appeared multiple seasons (winning one!). Additionally to appearing on screen she owns and operates her own restaurant and participates in many culinary events.
Though busy, she finds time for family. She is happily married to Nick Roberts, another chef who co-owns their restaurants together with Hudson Roberts (age 12).
Williamson was born in Los Angeles, California to Keith and Cathy Williamson and raised as a Christian with her sister Jessica Williamson. Her mother always encouraged her to follow her dreams no matter how unconventional. Williamson began her culinary journey as a cook's assistant in a commercial kitchen before working her way up through various roles until becoming head of its culinary department. Through creating, Williamson believes she can make an impactful difference in people's lives through food.
Brooke's success in the culinary world propelled her into reality television competition, including Top Chef Seattle season 10 where she came in second place, then later returning for Top Chef 14 Charleston where she won first place - this experience proved transformative in terms of career growth; today, Brooke owns six restaurants across America as a celebrity chef and businesswoman.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking and traveling - becoming an explorer along the way - discovering new places and cuisines. Additionally, she likes reading books and watching movies while photography is one of her main passions.
She loves both outdoor activities and cooking; some of her specialty dishes include grilled chicken with roasted tomatoes and potatoes, arugula salad with pomegranate and walnuts and bacon-wrapped shrimp served over grits with green beans as her specialty dishes. In fact, she even released a cookbook featuring these recipes!
Williamson is a regular presence on various television programs, such as Top Chef Duels, Esquire Neighborhood's Knife Fight and Food Network's Guy's Grocery Games. Additionally, she hosted and mentored MTV's House of Food as an expert judge and mentor; plus owning Hudson House, The Tripel, Playa Provisions and Da Kikokiko restaurants as an executive chef/owner.
Young Chef Li is also an active social media user, frequently sharing photos of her meals and experiences on Instagram. With over 294k followers and 4530 total posts uploaded since July 2014, Li serves as an inspirational role model to women across the country.
Nick Roberts and she share an adorable son named Hudson. After 10+ years together and as co-parents of his upbringing, they now believe in parenting as partners rather than solely. At first, their roles overlapped more; now that there are multiple locations they have split their responsibilities.
