Things to Do on Hayling Island

Hayling Island offers a host of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. It's an idyllic beach holiday spot with three miles of Blue Flag beaches, an inviting country village atmosphere and plenty of family-friendly attractions.

The beach is the main draw of this island, boasting a long shingle beach with plenty of room to lounge around. It has earned itself the Solent Water Quality Award and is popular with families who love to enjoy some fun in the sun while playing in the sea.

Water sports like windsurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking are popular here during the summer holidays. For something a bit more tranquil, take a walk along the beach at Gunner Point or explore the trails surrounding Sandy Point Nature Reserve.

Are you looking for a day at Funland, taking the light railway or visiting the donkey sanctuary - Hayling Island offers plenty of activities perfect for families to enjoy.

Funland - This beach funfair is an iconic seaside attraction, complete with a runaway train and log flume ride for younger visitors. Additionally, they can enjoy rides like "cups and saucers" to get their adrenaline pumping.

Experience the light railway - The narrow gauge Hayling railway runs along the beach seafront from Eastoke corner to Beachlands and provides fun for all the family. Unfortunately, its timetable is seasonal, meaning no trains run year-round. But it's an excellent way to get from one side of the island to the other for attractions on either side.
