Frank Ocean's New 12 Foot By 12 Foot Sofa

Notably, Frank Ocean also took to social media to showcase the best of his New York City apartment, from the latest in a slew of stylish kitchen counter lights to a pair of the aforementioned slick-looking speakers. And while many would be forgiven for wondering if the designer behind the aforementioned item is actually the musician himself, it turns out that Frank is a bona fide design buff. Indeed, Frank is a tad obsessive when it comes to showcasing his artistic taste. Several photos of the singer lounging on his sleek new piece have circulated the internet over the years.

However, one item in particular is attracting interest from aficionados of everything from fashion to architecture. For instance, the aforementioned pyramid esque teal couch, which was made by French designer Pierre Paulin in 1970, has recently caught the attention of none other than Louis Vuitton's head honcho. In fact, Kanye West has been spotted utilizing the sofa in his own showroom for Yeezy season 3.

Is Frank Ocean's 12'x12' Sofa the Most Extravagant Piece of Furniture Ever?

Last week, singer/songwriter Frank Ocean unveiled his newest purchase—a 12 foot by 12 foot sofa. Ocean’s new furniture piece is certainly a sight to behold, but is it the largest and most extravagant piece of furniture ever made? Let’s take a look.

The Size of the Sofa

At a staggering 12 feet long by 12 feet wide, Frank Ocean’s new sofa is certainly an impressive sight. While it’s hard to tell from photos alone just how big the sofa actually is, one thing is certain: this piece of furniture takes up a lot of space. In fact, it’s so large that some have speculated that it might actually be designed for outdoor use rather than as an indoor furniture piece.

The Cost of the Sofa

Ocean hasn’t revealed how much he paid for his new sofa, but given its size and custom-made features, we can assume that it didn’t come cheap. It has been estimated that a 12 foot by 12 foot sofa would cost anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 depending on the type and quality of fabric used in its construction. This makes Frank Ocean’s new sofa one of the most expensive pieces of furniture ever created.

The Design of the Sofa

Frank Ocean clearly wanted something unique when he commissioned this sofa—and unique he got! The custom-made design features bright colors and bold patterns that make it stand out in any room or outdoor area. Even more striking are its curved edges and rounded corners which give it an almost futuristic look that sets it apart from other pieces on the market today.

Whether you love or hate Frank Ocean's new 12'x12' sofa, there's no denying that this piece of furniture is impressive in both size and cost. From its bright colors to its bold design features, this couch certainly stands out from the rest—which may explain why it has become such a talking point over the last few days. While time will tell if this really is the most extravagant piece of furniture ever made, one thing is certain: this couch has definitely made its mark in history!

Perhaps it's because of the high-tech material used to create the piece or perhaps it's because of the high-minded taste of the former two. Regardless, the piece is a work of art in its own right. It's one thing to admire a shiny object, but Frank's passion for design is more than a one-time occurrence. Despite his penchant for sexy sartorial fare, he has been known to park his car in his apartment's art studio from time to time.
