Ugly House in America Returns For Season 5

[last_updated_date]

Comedian Retta from Parks and Recreation explores properties nominated by their owners as the Ugliest Homes in America, touring properties which may feature everything from eye-catching designs to botched renovations. If any house wins, designer Alison Victoria of Windy City Rehab will surprise them with a $150,000 renovation package from her firm.

One house in Newtown, CT stands out with color-coordinated bathrooms and padded bar seating; another offers an indoor greenhouse complete with six light switches on its walls.

The Ugliest House in America

Comedian Retta travels across the country to tour homes whose owners have nominated as America's ugliest. Each episode, she provides her expert opinion about their peculiar layouts and clashing design choices - giving each one their due before choosing which house deserves an extravagant $150,000 renovation by HGTV star Alison Victoria.

On the season 1 premiere, Retta visits three houses: Reptilian Mardi Gras; former funeral home that looks like a dollhouse; home decorated with floor-to-ceiling zebra hide decor and Temple of Equus due to previous use as horse rescue facility by its owners.

Retta narrowed her selection down to four ugly homes for consideration: Pyramid House, No Secrets House and Jungle House. The final decision will be announced during season 2 finale when one house will be named America's Ugliest.

Season 1

Marietta Sirleaf of "Parks and Recreation," better known by her nickname Retta, hosted Season Four of Ugly House in America with three houses from across the nation competing to earn one out of five chances at a $150,000 renovation from designer Alison Victoria. In episode one alone featured three homes built between 1986-1997 - Retta assessed each for its unsightliness, poor functionality and unexpected designs before giving each score out of five ratings to Retta herself.

Rotten Tomatoes has given its first season a rating of "Certified Fresh." Actor Steven Yeun received Golden Globe and Oscar nominations, while Simmons garnered a Screen Actors Guild nomination. Since its premiere, there has been much speculation surrounding a second season - if it will bridge between Parts I & II or jump directly into Part III.

Season 2

After its highly successful premiere, The Last Kingdom is back for more. Series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann revealed during an interview with EW Awardsist podcast in August 2023 that they already had plans for another full season.

This series follows comedian Retta as she travels around America visiting homes nominated by their owners as America's Ugliest Houses, judged based on factors including appearance, function and surprising designs. The winner receives a $150,000 renovation by HGTV designer Alison Victoria.

The inaugural episode featured three houses, with one located in Putnam, Connecticut dubbed the Temple of Equus built in 1986 and described by its owners as state of the art at its time of construction, yet having aged poorly over time.

Season 3

Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is eager to return to matchmaking after hearing Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) tell a group of bachelors that he won't pursue her, during Season 2's finale. Pen has embarked upon her matchmaking mission once more with renewed zeal.

Fans can look forward to more ballroom waltzing between Pen and Colin this season, along with a possible rift between besties Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and Penelope as well as new adventures for Penelope's alter ego Lady Whistledown.

Marietta Sirleaf (Retta from Parks and Recreation) hosts this new installment. As host she travels around to houses across America competing to be named Ugliest House in America with homeowners being judged on appearances, cringeworthy designs and outdated styles; with one winner receiving a $150,000 renovation by HGTV designer Alison Victoria!

Season 4

Season 4 of The Chosen has returned, offering more surprises and twists that will have viewers gasping with delight. In its most recent episode, Eliza and Duke investigate an arson attempt against an exclusive brothel.

This series stars Jonathan Roumie as Jesus and Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene. It chronicles their lives together while dealing with challenges presented to them during that era; further exploring their relationships with both enemies and followers alike.

This season features 15 hideous homes from around the country that were nominated by their owners to compete for a $150,000 renovation by HGTV designer Alison Victoria. Episodes 1-4 premiere on February 1st with episodes 4-6 being shown two weeks later before finally showing episodes 7&8 live in cinemas on February 29th.
